Livestreaming brought to you by WeeStreem
You can register onsite but there will be a separate check in to ensure we move those that pre registered through the registration desk quickly.
Registration will not begin until 10am. Do not come earlier as we require that time for set up. No one in the water until noon and all floaters must be out of the water by 6pm.
You will inflate your own floaties at our inflation station and volunteers are there to assist if need be.
Children under 16 we will require a life jacket. No exceptions can be made. We do not supply them so please come prepared. We recommend those that are not good swimmers, also wear a life jacket.
Be creative with your storage as Floatfest is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Park wherever you can find space but ensure you are not illegally parked. That is your responsibility. There is limited handicap parking at the park and if you require it, please have your sign in your vehicle. When and if space runs out, you can be dropped off and we will have a volunteer there to assist you.
All volunteers must park off site. Bands have designated parking. Limited space. Please enquire upon arrival.
Bring lots of sunscreen and wear a hat. Water sold onsite. Tiki bar will also have free water, until we run out, so please float on up and get hydrated.
Anyone with alcohol or acting in any way that could be dangerous to other floaters will be respectfully escorted from the water and the park. Respect the safety and security staff in the water and on land, and above all else, respect our trained lifeguards. They are there to keep you safe.
If you do not have a wrist band, you will be directed to registration. If you don’t wish to do so, we understand, this is our Canal, but, this is a registered event and to be part of it, you must be registered.
Please use the recycle bins and put all garbage in the proper bins. Let’s work together to keep the park clean and shorten the work our team must do at the end of the evening. Thank you.
Please listen carefully at the stage at approx 1130- 1145 while we share the procedures in the case of emergencies. This is very important.
Let’s continue this free, fun, family event and look out for one another.
Looking forward to welcoming each and every one of you to Floatfest 2018
Canadian Tire Welland Floatfest 2018 takes place July 8th, 2018 on the Welland Recreational Canal at Scuba Park. This will be the third year this event has taken place and has grown into a great event for families to spend a day on the water, floating around with friends, listening to amazing musical talent, eating great food and supporting local charities. Last year we had over 1500 participants as we set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for Longest line of water inflatables at a massive 165.74m. Come out and spend the day at the Canadian Tire Welland Floatfest 2018!
